I think of the album as one composition; it inspired me to move slowly, which is the highest compliment, as I'm usually frantically trying to escape my surroundings. I took it to be about America. The way I feel about America is that we're such a "brainwashed" populace, and I am no different from anyone; therefore, the word "America" is a blank check addressed to nobody. Hmm, surely nothing will go wrong if I write my own name on this check...
